Local Artist Releases Southeast San Diego Summertime Anthem
A new summertime anthem about Southeast San Diego was just released called “Southeast Summers.” It’s a feel good collaboration between homegrown artists Ryan Anthony, Mitchy Slick and Golden Globe award-winning and Grammy nominated artist Andra Day. From lowrider cars to roller skates, the Southeast San Diego vibe is captured in the song and video.
"It's the people. It's the weather. It's the backyard barbeques. It's the car hops. It's beach parties. Summer in San Diego has always been a vibe. It's about connecting with your loved ones and enjoying each other," said Anthony who wanted to put a positive spotlight on Southeast San Diego.

"Southeast Summers" is a tribute to the area of San Diego all three artists grew up in and will be featured on Anthony's album "Barely Seen The Beach 3" coming out April 2.
Anthony also hosts community events. The next event is April 11 at 4 Corners located at Euclid and Imperial where free haircuts and lunch for children will be offered.
