Even though we averted a government shutdown Friday night when President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner made a last minute deal on the federal budget, I would imagine many of you are still shaken by the very real prospect you faced of not getting paid for your service.
I would love to hear about any contingency plans you made just in case no deal was made and the federal government stopped running. Did any of you think about applying for loans? Did any family members offer to help bridge any gaps in income? Did you stock up on groceries?
