President Barack Obama and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced today the new defense strategy for the United States military. It includes more of a focus on China, North Korean, and Iran - and less attention on the kind of ground wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
More specifically, Reuters reports the plan will mean slashing the number of ground troops by tens of thousands:
