Southern California native and Marine Corps Cpl. Michael J. Palacio was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan on March 29th, according to the Department of Defense.
Palacio was 23-years-old. He was a native of Lake Elsinore, California.
Palacio was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
