Death of Okinawa Marine Sparks Investigation

The military is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Marine Pfc. Tray Olivas, 21, whose body was found on Okinawa, according to the Stars and Stripes.

The Department of Defense so far has been mum on releasing any details regarding how and when Olivas was discovered.

According to Olivas's Facebook page, he graduated from El Dorado High School in 2009, and grew up in El Paso, Texas.

The Stars and Stripes reports Olivas joined in the Marines in May of 2010, and arrived at Okinawa in June of 2011.

Olivas worked as a telephone system and personal computer repairman, and was assigned to Electronics Maintenance Company, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
