3 Camp Pendleton Marines Stabbed Coming To Aid Of Woman (Video)

Two Camp Pendleton Marines are in the hospital this morning, and a third Marine recovering at home, after the three were stabbed breaking up a street fight.

Huntington Beach police Lt. Mitch O’Brien told The Associated Press the Marines were trying to help a woman wearing an Angels jersey, who was involved in an altercation with two male Dodgers fans.

The altercation took place early Sunday in a Huntington Beach neighborhood far from where the actual baseball game was played in Anaheim. San Diego television station KNSD reports the brawl escalated to a point where Manuel Alvarez, 23, allegedly stabbed one of the Marines in the face with a broken bottle. And he did it right in front of police officers.

Huntington Beach resident George Ferguson shot video of the whole mess on his cell phone, and provided that video to CBS-LA (posted up top).

The Huntington Beach Independent reports that a total of six people, included Alvarez, were arrested during the melee.
