San Diego demonstrators rallied Thursday to protest the 2017 Republican National Committee Spring Meeting at the Hotel Del Coronado.
Organizers with San Diego arm of the national Indivisible group opposed to President Donald Trump's administration said they demand the following:
–A special prosecutor to investigate contacts between President Donald Trump’s administration and Russia.
–Saving the Affordable Care Act.
–Preserving funding for Planned Parenthood.
–The protection of civil rights.
–Building a sustainable future by addressing climate change.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Vista, was one of the major targets of Thursday’s protest due to his support for the Republican health care plan. Issa voted to pass the Republican health care bill that now heads to the senate.
In March, San Diego Indivisible organized a similar protest in which activists opposed to Trump’s policies spelled out the words “impeach” and “resist” on the shore in Ocean Beach.
