After-School Sewing Class // Ages 8-12 Students in this course will develop essential sewing skills, utilizing both hand-sewing techniques and the sewing machine. Over the course of six weeks, they’ll learn safety practices, stitching basics, machine navigation, and troubleshooting, while growing more confident in their technical abilities. As they explore idea development and practice foundational skills, students will create both functional and decorative pieces. The class wraps up with fun and functional final projects that showcase their creativity and growth. Parents are welcome to drop off their child for class or stay in our space during the class while students create. Feel free to choose what works best for you! Her enthusiasm set her to multitasking – from organizing the concert venue (the Cologne Opera House), promoting the event, and selling the tickets, to convincing Jarrett to perform when he almost dropped out when the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand piano he was promised was nowhere to be found. John Magaro plays Jarrett with his own intensity, a sublime counterpoint to Mala Emde’s joyful portrayal of the enthusiastic and unstoppable Vera. "Köln 75" captures the compelling, entertaining and, until now, unknown backstory about Jarrett’s one-hour, entirely improvised concert, which became the best-selling solo album in jazz history.
