From photorealist animal studies to speculative botanical ecologies, Organica places the human body within the same continuum as root systems, fungal networks, and nocturnal habitats. An exhibition about coexistence and the natural world on its own terms. The exhibition continues the Granger Art Program's evolving dialogue with artists engaged in ecological and speculative inquiry, including the ongoing art-in-residence initiative with Max Hooper Schneider, the first emerging artist commissioned for UC San Diego's Stuart Collection, whose work engages future ecologies and evolving life systems.
