  • How can digital systems improve access to public services, health care, education and financial inclusion at national scale? India offers a glimpse into this type of technological governance. The country’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) has become a globally significant model for how governments can use technology to deliver services more effectively, efficiently and inclusively. In this talk, Manoj Ahuja will discuss how DPI is transforming agriculture through AgriStack and education through platforms like the Academic Bank of Credits and DIKSHA. Then, Arti Ahuja will examine how DPI is reshaping health care through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and supporting informal sector workers through the e-Shram database, linking citizens to public entitlements, skill-building and employment opportunities. This public lecture series is organized by the Peter F. Cowhey Center on Global Transformation and the 21st Century India Center at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS).

This special community event will feature beloved local personality John Carroll as emcee, along with live music, light refreshments, and an afternoon filled with fun and fellowship.
