  • This casual group meets twice monthly to bring together crafters of all disciplines and media in a relaxed setting. Socialize with fellow creators and bring a project to work on! You will be sure to leave with a head full of inspiration and some new buddies to help with your next sticky patch (tangled yarn, muddy painting, skewed sculpture, pile of unruly popsicle sticks, wobbly hem, the list goes on!). This event is geared for adults & older teens, ages 16+yrs, or caregivers with babies in arms. This event is offered with volunteer support & donation of space from San Diego Craft Collective.   • Join us for a hands-on morning of reflection, storytelling, and creative making in celebration of the Centennial of The San Diego Museum of Art. Inspired by SDMA 100 Years, on view January 24 in Galleries 14/15, this workshop invites participants to explore memory, history, and personal connection through bookmaking. The workshop will guide you through the creation of a memory scrapbook inspired by the archival scrapbooks that have preserved and documented 100 years of SDMA’s history. Participants will learn basic bookbinding techniques, including how to bind pages, create a cover, and customize a scrapbook designed to hold memories collected throughout the year. Participants are encouraged to bring photographs or small mementos to incorporate into the cover or title pages of their scrapbook, making each book a personal and meaningful keepsake.   • This First Friday, kids will explore their creativity while making their own craft. Each child will work on an individual art project celebrating the theme of the month. On February 6th, kids will create a "Things I Love" Craft! We offer a new craft each month. First Friday Free Kids Crafts are a wonderful way for kids to develop their fine motor skills, artistic expression, and confidence in a supportive, fun environment.
