In these 8 weeks of artmaking, we will consider identity, community, and changing landscapes over time. Using pen and ink, create mixed-media projects that examine the changing landscapes that have shaped our own identities and communities. The Preview Party celebrates the opening of our new exhibition, "Visiones Nocturnas: Queer Nightlife in Contemporary Art." Works included in "Visiones" probe the physical trappings of these environments—dance clubs, dive bars, block parties, backyards and bathhouses—for their capacity to generate sites of queer belonging, transcendence, and resilience.
