San Diego’s signature celebration of sound and soul is back with grace, groove, and timeless class as the Sunset Finale of the 14th Annual Jazz At The Creek returns Labor Day Weekend - Saturday and Sunday, August 30 - 31, for two unforgettable days of live music, elegance, and unity within the community at a new location: The Educational Cultural Complex South Lawn in the heart Southeast San Diego 4343 Ocean View Blvd., San Diego, CA, 92113. This annual festival continues its legacy of showcasing some of the finest national and local talent in jazz, soul, and gospel, while creating a space where mature audiences can relax, connect, and enjoy world-class performances in an elevated outdoor setting. This year’s lineup brings a mix of smooth, funky, and uplifting sounds, headlined by legendary saxophonist Gerald Albright, whose performance is a masterclass in musicianship and style. Joining him on Sunday are sultry soul artist Rebecca Jade, gospel group The Group Fire, known for their tight harmonies and powerful stage presence, and San Diego’s hometown vocalist- Brittany Spaulding. Saturday’s show features the dynamic and gritty energy of Durti-Ryce ft. Duron, backed by the powerhouse saxophonist Erisa Nicole, the undeniable groove of bassist Darryl Williams, and the electric guitar stylings of David P. Stevens. Hosted by 92.5 radio personality Kelly Cole and the beloved Golden Voice DJ John Phillips, the two-day experience will also feature upscale food and beverage vendors, artisan booths, and a curated atmosphere that blends grown-folk energy with community pride. Jazz At The Creek is more than a concert - it’s a cultural celebration that highlights the richness of music, the importance of legacy, and the joy of shared experience. in^set is a flexible chamber ensemble founded in 2018 by David Aguila (trumpet), Teresa Díaz de Cossio (flute), and Ilana Waniuk (violin), dedicated to creation, improvisation, and experimentation. Committed to expanding instrumental practice beyond the confines of contemporary classical music, in^set explores the sonic and visual possibilities of everyday objects, hacked electronics, graphic notation, and hybrid media. "Traces in Sound and Light" is a program that traverses the spaces between acoustic and electronic, composed and improvised, visual and sonic. Featuring works by Nathan Haering, Melissa Vargas Franco, and in^set members Aguila, Díaz de Cossio, and Waniuk. The concert culminates in the premiere of a new work by Jacques Zafra. Join us for the 2025 Tolley Dances™ on the MTS Green Line Trolley! This iconic event has been bringing San Diego together for 27 years through site-specific dance that highlights our city's diversity, culture, and community. Choreographers include Blythe Barton, Bernard Brown, Megan Curet, Lavina Rich, Odessa Uno and the creator of Trolley Dance and former Artistic Director Jean Isaacs. Parking: Free parking at Fashion Valley Transit Center. Ticketing: Ticketing table can be located inside of the MTS Fashion Valley Transit Center on the corner of Fashion Valley road and Riverwalk Drive. *Kids age 8 and under may ride and join the tour for free with a paying adult.
