This week, city of San Diego crews will begin resurfacing streets in and around Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Peñasquitos and Carmel Valley, it was announced Monday.

Cool and mostly dry weather is expected for the rest of the week until Saturday, when more rain is in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Workers at an Encinitas location voted 21-2 last May, while employees at a Hillcrest location voted 15-2 last August.

Voters are not assigned to a specific location and may cast their ballot at any available vote center, the county announced.

County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister has announced bidder registration is open today for the 2024 online property tax auction, with 468 properties for sale.

Residents and businesses can apply online now through the FEMA web portal at DisasterAssistance.gov or through the FEMA mobile app.

The announcement comes after a judge struck down San Diego's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, saying only the state can make that a requirement.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
