On Monday, four San Diego County residents accused of bilking state child care benefits programs out of millions, were arraigned in federal court.

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to move forward with a special election on Aug. 15.

Air pollution has longed been linked to poor health outcomes, but in a report released on Monday from a team of researchers led by scientists at UC San Diego, it was also said to create a significantly greater risk of dementia.
