From limited edition Funkos to nostalgia-fueled designer toys, the exhibit hall floor is packed with Comic-Con exclusives that can be worth thousands. But for many fans, it's not about the resale value — it's about the thrill of the hunt.
KPBS reporter Alexander Nguyen catches up with longtime collectors like Ramsay Nassar, who's been attending Comic-Con for 30 years. He says finding rare items, such as early Captain America or Spider-Man Funkos, is "instinctual impulsive consumerism," and part of what keeps him coming back.
