Debate Continues Over Seals at La Jolla Children's Pool

Alison St John (Guest Host): Whether you go to La Jolla or not, you're bound to be familiar with the decade long debacle over the Children's Pool. Believe it or not, it is now coming up for 10 years since seals discovered the La Jolla Children's Pool, and started breeding there, making it impossible for children to swim without begin accused of disturbing the seal pups.

Since then, judges have ruled, politicians have taken sides, even the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has weighed in.

This month, the rope that the City Council agreed to put up to keep people away during breeding season is supposed to come down, to the consternation of seal supporters.
