Folklorist Explores Origins of Halloween

Tom Fudge : It’s Halloween tonight. And depending on your point of view, this holiday is about candy, dressing up, getting scared or communicating with spirits. To some, it may also be an affront to serious religious belief.

For most people, the fun of Halloween probably is in the scare and the mystery. The reflection on death and the afterlife, and what spirits mean to us in the world of living.
