State Lawmakers Commemorate 9/11 Victims
State lawmakers took time to remember the victims of 9/11 on Tuesday. Assembly members stood for a moment of silence in honor of those who lost their lives six years ago today.
Democratic Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez urged members not to forget the tragedy of the terrorist attacks.
Nunez : There have been several articles and commentaries recently about whether 9/11 fatigue is setting in -- about whether we should all just move on and let the painful memories subside. I don't think any one of us who were alive that morning and watched what transpired can ever do that.
In the State Senate, the victims of 9/11 were remembered in the morning prayer at the start of today's session.
