San Diego Gas Prices Move Into Record Territory Overnight
San Diego gas prices moved into record territory overnight. The Utility Consumer's Action Network says the average price of a gallon of regular is now $3.52.
UCAN's Charles Langley says that eclipses the previous record high set last May. Then, a gallon of regular cost $3.50.
Langley says the surge in prices will likely continue.
Langley : It bodes poorly for the rest of the year, if we're going into the year this early, this fast, with prices this high. With a backdrop of record high oil prices which also contribute to higher gasoline prices.
Langley says he’s more optimistic about the long term gasoline price picture. He thinks prices will come down as November gets closer because oil companies don't want the price of fuel to be a campaign issue.
