Lung Association says San Diego's Smokefree Policies Fall Short

But the city gets a D for its lack of comprehensive laws to limit smoking in outdoor areas.

The American Lung Association's Debra Kelley says San Diego needs to do a better job.

Debra Kelley : There are a lot of smokefree outdoor policies that we could be enacting, especially in areas like smokefree outdoor dining, smokefree entryways, and then certainly the new frontier of smoking in apartment buildings and condominiums.

None of California's ten largest cities received the elusive A grade this year. Los Angeles and San Francisco did score higher than San Diego.
