Celebrating Darwin's Legacy

Maureen Cavanaugh : The theory of evolution introduced by Charles Darwin was controversial from the moment it was published and remains a point of contention for many in our society today.

But very few people have ever disputed the diligence of Darwin's work, the humility of his character or his extraordinary intellect. Today marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and instead of talking about the continuing debate in some quarters over his theory of evolution, we're going to talk about the man, his life and the ongoing scientific application of his work.
