IMPERIAL BEACH -- The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is investigating a report of a bomb or multiple bombs planted on the campus of Mar Vista High School.
Sheriff's officials say they received an anonymous call shortly after 2 p.m. that indicated a device was at the Imperial Beach school.
Sweetwater Union High School District officials say students were supposed to be let out of school at 2:35 p.m. but were kept on campus until shortly after 3:15 p.m.
10News learned students have been released to nearby Veterans Park to meet with their families.
Sheriff's investigators have arrived at the scene to inspect the campus.
