Apple Diversifies

Apple announced a suite of new services to run on its devices Monday, including Apple TV app, Apple News, Apple Card, Apple Arcade and an Apple credit card

Apple’s financial report for the last three months of 2018, the crucial holiday season, revealed the magnitude of the iPhone slump: a 15% drop in revenue from the previous year.

Padre’s Season Opener

The San Diego Padres opened their 2019 season Thursday against the San Francisco Giants with events and pageantry at Petco Park. San Diego's East Village Association held a block party next to the ballpark. The signing of third baseman Manny Machado brought optimism for a better season after two last-place finishes in the past three seasons.

San Diego Gets Another Unicorn

A unicorn is a privately held startup company valued at more than $1 billion. San Diego-based Kyriba is set to become the city’s latest unicorn thanks to a $160 million investment. The company develops software to help corporations manage finances.
