Bleu Boheme’s rustic interior and savory Parisian bistro fare are ideal for a cozy Sunday afternoon. For $45 this Sunday, a special Easter menu and some bubbly are on offer; it’s $35 sans Champagne.
We know they’re fluffy, cute, and total spring mascots, but this Sunday, forget all of that – at Whisknladle, it’s all about the lamb. The La Jolla foodie favorite will dish up 4 courses featuring a whole roasted ewe with asparagus and sweet potato gnocchi, alongside a cheese tasting and something sweet, all for $75 per person.
Go East at Roppongi in La Jolla, who’s boasting a 7-station brunch buffet for their Easter Brunch. $39 gets you all-access to Chef Stephen Window’s nontraditional holiday dishes, like blue-fin tuna sliders, passion fruit banana bread French toast, duck confit eggs Benedict, and sushi rolls galore.
Take the fam to a traditional brunch at the Del in their Crown Room and Ballroom, where a swanky buffet, complete with live music, happens this Sunday ($76.50 for adults). For those who choose to eschew the adult table, a kids-only buffet is also available. A spot to don your best Easter bonnet for sure.
For a super-luxe Easter Brunch, book a table at Mr. A’s. This Sunday, the stalwart features a feast for the highfalutin, including crispy pork belly and Maine lobster strudel. At $35 for 3 courses – usually the cost of an entrée - it’s also a total steal.
Alchemy’s fabled burger might not be available for brunch, but just-as-tasty mains, like shrimp and grits blanco, Spanish cheeses with organic fruit, and a bacon Bloody Mary are. Several vegetarian options are also available in keeping with the hood’s earth-friendly vibe. Available a la carte or $24.00 for three courses.
Sure, some of these options are ultra-refined, but sometimes, we’d like to forgo the egg white-omelet onslaught and dig into a pancake as big as our torso (replete with Strawberry Frosted Flakes). Those with an appetite already know Hash House A-Go-Go as the must-hit spot for gargantuan plates of comfort fare; word is something special for Easter Brunch is also in the works (Cadbury Egg-studded waffles, perhaps? It may be a bit of a trek, but Frida’s, the Mex-Noveau posh spot in Eastlake’s Otay Ranch Mall, is hosting a Mariachi Brunch on Sunday from 10-3 p.m. Steaming plates of traditional Mexican breakfast fare, such as Chilaquiles, sopes, mole and more, will be part of the buffet, which also includes a Ceviche bar, pancake station, and even a live Mariachi band. $25 for adults; $12 for kids.
