For some art that moves you, hop on SDMTS this Saturday and Sunday for the 12th annual Trolley Dances. Audience members take public transit between different San Diego locations (including the New Children’s Museum) to watch over 50 dancers perform site-specific work at locales across the county.

The Cinderella-esque story of the young carefree lady-in-training and the wily, wealthy Parisian who doesn’t know he loves her, never gets old. To see San Diego Lyric Opera's version, head on over to Birth North Park Theater this weekend or next.
Raising the Bard yet again, The San Diego Shakespeare Society is performing 10 Plays in 10 Hours. Hamlet, Hermia and Helena are all headliners so pop in for one or camp out for all 10 because it's free!
This Saturday, Carlsbad's New Village Arts opens a new chapter in their 10-year history: they're staging their first musical. And, appropriately, they chose Stephen Sondheim to guide them. "Into the Woods" may star some of our favorite fairy tale characters, but don't expect all sweetness and light - this is Sondheim, after all.
San Diego Rep brings Tony Award winner (and novelist, actor, and director) Athol Fugard’s play "Road to Mecca" to the stage at the Lyceum Theater. It's the story of an aging artist in a remote South African village from a master storyteller writing about his homeland.

The Agitprop Reading & Performance Series is at it again. This time around Jennifer Karmin and John Plueker (writer/interpreter/translator) are the readers, so join the pair in North Park this Saturday at the Agitprop Gallery.

Paris is a plane trip away, but Toulouse-Lautrec’s Paris is right here at the San Diego Museum of Art. This Saturday, experience the perfect pairing as Parisian wines are coupled with bread, cheese and a private tour of the exhibition.
This Friday, if you find your way to the 5th floor of the new City College Career Technology Center (SDCC) at 6 p.m. you will see that you have made it to the Luxe Photography Gallery. This 30,000 square foot space is the new home of the SDCC Photography department and is celebrating its birth with a faculty photography show.

Die Roten Punkte the brother and sister punk-comedy sensation from Berlin, will be bringing their act to Sushi for one night only! See the cult favorites and “international stars of all things fringe” in their music video Ich Bin Nicht Ein Roboter (I Am A Lion) below!
It's definitely not your grandfather's classical music festival. The Calder Quartet (hear them on These Days!) and red fish blue fish return to The Carlsbad Music Festival to play alongside the New York City based ACME (American Contemporary Music Ensemble), and pianist Eric Huebner, to bring you the edgier side of classical music. CMF’s young founder and director Matt McBane (who will also be performing) has added a FREE Village Music Walk (artists will be playing in café’s and record stores) to the usual festival line up!
Warm up for this weekends festivities at Dizzy’s tonight with NYC-based jazz pianist Helen Sung. She’s rounded up some local back-up band mates so we’re super delighted to welcome her to the west coast.
It’s not every day that we get to hear Hindustani vocals, so here’s to the Indian Fine Arts Academy for presenting ‘Evening Delight’ with Parthasarathi Desikan (disciple of Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty)! This classical Indian music will be this Friday from 7-10 at The Performing Arts Program at the Neurosciences Institute.
