Mexican authorities says gang members from Barrio Logan supposedly planned to killl Baja California's Director of Public Security, Daniel de la Rosa Anaya, in November.
Authorities say the San Diego gang members may have also had other high ranking Baja officials in their crosshairs.
Mexican authorities say the arrests of allegedly key members of Tijuana's Arellano Felix Cartel motivated the threats.

One of his spokesmen says De la Rosa receives death threats all the time. But, he says, they didn't about the San Diego gang's alleged plan.
During the 80' and 90's, the Arellano Felix Cartel recruited gunmen from Barrio Logan.
