SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell six-tenths of a cent today to $4.052, its lowest amount since Feb. 5.
The average price is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 20.8 cents lower than last month and 25.2 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased 35 of the past 37 days, dropping 24.2 cents over that span, including four-tenths of a cent on Thursday.
"It appears that price decreases slowed to a trickle in response to wholesale prices rising in the past week,'' Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California said. "However, wholesale prices have dropped again in recent days, so we don't see any indications at the moment that pump prices will start going back up.''
