Several days worth of wet and gloomy weather was expected to begin today in San Diego County.
According to the National Weather Service, there was a 70 percent chance of rain in coastal, valley and mountain areas today, and a 40 percent chance in the deserts.
Rainy weather remained likely through Sunday, the Weather Service advised, adding that rain was also possible Monday through Thursday.
Temperatures around the county today were expected to peak in the 50s and low 60s in most parts.
