Near-freezing temperatures and potentially damaging frost are expected again Friday night in San Diego County's deserts and inland valleys.
The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory for the valleys and deserts from 10 tonight through 8 tomorrow morning. Temperatures ranging from 28 to 33 degrees are forecast.
"A cold and dry air mass will continue to bring near-freezing temperatures to portions of the deserts and inland valleys tonight into Saturday morning," according to the weather service.
Frost that may damage or kill uncovered sensitive outdoor plants is also expected in wind-sheltered desert and valley areas, according to the NWS.
