Bremer, Annan Meet to Discuss Iraqi Elections

The top U.S. administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, meets with U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan to seek U.N. assistance in establishing a provisional Iraqi government. Plans for a power transfer by June 30 have run up against Iraqi Shiite demands for direct elections. U.S. and U.N. officials say setting up direct elections within six months would be difficult. NPR's Vicky O'Hara reports.
