Iraqi PM Fails to Resolve Government Dispute

Disputes within the Iraqi government have prompted a boycott by 17 Cabinet ministers.

After talks in Baghdad, Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced a "new alliance" of Shiite and Kurdish leaders, asserting it holds enough seats in parliament to ensure passage of key legislation.

But the largest Sunni bloc, as well as two Shiite groups, remain outside the government.
