Shakespeare's First Folio, the 1623 published collection of his plays, is in San Diego this month.
It's part of a national tour to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death and offers a rare glimpse of the Folio.
Co-hosted by The Old Globe and the San Diego Public Library, "First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare," will be on display at the Central Library from Saturday, June 4 to Thursday, July 7.
The exhibit, which is located in the library's 9th floor art gallery, also showcases props, costumes and photos from The Old Globe’s 80-year archive.
Along with the First Folio, there will be a month of readings, lectures, plays and parties in honor of The Bard.
