Stay Cool for Grandkids aims to inform and engage grandparents and seniors with the goal of them becoming advocates on climate change issues.

When David and Peg Engel became grandparents after the birth of their granddaughter, Violet, they decided it was time to take a stand.

"We wanted to preserve the best possible climate future for her," David Engel said.

The Engle's started the nonprofit Stay Cool for Grandkids. The San Diego-based nonprofit is now in its seventh year of operation. The goal is to inform and engage grandparents and seniors, through a series of events and meetings, with the goal of them becoming advocates on climate change issues.
