The Navy Compass is reporting that military folks on active duty, and their dependents, will get free admission to the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open, thanks to the non-profit charity group The Century Club of San Diego.
The tournament this year will feature the return of Tiger Woods, who missed the last two years of the event, as well as San Diego's own Phil Mickelson, among many others. For admission to the tournament, military members and dependents must simply show their current Department of Defense identification cards at the entrance.
In a statement, Jim Horton, president of the Century Club and general chairman of the 2011 Farmers Insurance Open, said:
Free food and parking for military. For more information, please call 858-886-4653 or visit www.farmersinsuranceopen.com.
