His name - John Smith - seems somewhat ordinary. But Smith's life, and burial at Miramar National Cemetery Thursday, were anything but. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Smith's burial yesterday at Miramar was the first time there's been a casket burial in a San Diego County military cemetery since 1966. That's when Fort Rosecrans in Point Loma ran out of room and stopped casket burial.
According to the U-T:
