Airport Security Eased for Troops Under New Law

President Barack Obama signed into law today a measure that aims to get active-duty troops and their families through airport security more quickly, according to the Associated Press.

As Home Post reported last month, the legislation affects servicemembers traveling in uniform along with their families. Bill sponsor Rep. Chip Cravaak told Fox News recently it will be up to the Department of Homeland Security to outline what the new security measures will look like:

DHS is slated to develop the new security guidelines in the next six months.
