Cpl. Christopher Arzola, just 21, was one of three Camp Pendleton Marines killed February 14 when their car slammed into a tree at a high rate of speed in Dana Point, California. Azola's funeral is taking place this morning in his hometown of Westfield, Massachusetts. But his loved ones now have the fear of the Westboro Baptist Church showing up and protesting the funeral.
The Westboro Baptist Church has a habit of claiming to the media that it will protest at a fallen service member's funeral just to shake up the family, and then never actually showing up. So, this may be a false alarm. But just in case, a group of counter-protesters is gearing up to show support for the Arzola family as they grieve.
For more on the counter-protesters, here's a story from Springfield, Massachusetts television station WGGB-TV
