The ancient meditation technique called “Mantram Repetition” is helping some veterans better fight their battle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), according to research done in San Diego.

Jill Bormann, Research Nurse Scientist with the VA San Diego Healthcare System, performed clinical trials on veterans' use of Mantram Repetition to help alleviate PTSD symptoms like sleeplessness and nightmares.

Her research found that veterans who used Mantram Repetition with traditional therapy were twice as likely to report PTSD symptom relief than those who used traditional therapies without Mantram Repetition.
