Four sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman were injured today while their ship was being refueled off the coast of Florida.
The incident took place, according to the Navy, when a line parted as the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Patuxent was refueling the Truman. The Truman is currently conducting training exercises at sea.
The Navy reports none of the sailors suffered life-threatening injuries:
Two of the injured sailors were flown via Navy helicopter to Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Fla., and will receive follow-up care at Naval Hospital Jacksonville.
One Sailor will be flown via C-2 Greyhound to Naval Station Norfolk for further evaluation later today. One Sailor was treated on board.
The USS Truman is homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.
