Website Lets Military Prove Their Service To Online Retailers

The new website allows service members and veterans to verify they're in the military, in order to obtain exclusive discounts from online retailers.

Stars and Stripes reports Army Ranger veterans Matt Thompson and Blake Hall developed their idea for (previously called in 2011 while both men were students at Harvard Business School.

San Diego-based Navy Lt. Kristen Michele Murdock told Stars and Stripes that was a lifesaver while she was recently deployed in Afghanistan:

“I’ve used discounts or deals on everything from travel to clothing, picture frames to massages, Christmas gifts to frozen yogurt …

In Afghanistan… going to a real mall just isn’t an option.”
