U.S. Account of Samarra Gunfight Disputed

The coordinated ambushes of convoys that were delivering newly printed currency to Iraqi banks reportedly ended in a high death toll for the Iraqis. U.S. officials say 54 Iraqis died, many wearing uniforms from a Saddam Hussein militia. Locals, however, say the number of dead is closer to nine and includes several civilians. NPR's Ivan Watson reports.
