Lay Pleads Not Guilty to Enron Fraud Charges

Former Enron CEO and Chairman Kenneth Lay pleads not guilty to federal charges that he participated in a scheme to deceive investors and government regulators about his company's financial health.

Lay entered his plea in a Houston federal court after surrendering to authorities on charges of securities fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy. NPR's Wade Goodwyn reports.
