Bay Area Recovering from Oil Spill

Hundreds of volunteers are helping to clean up San Francisco beaches following a 58-thousand-gallon oil spill. KQED's Marjorie Sun reports on how their efforts are progressing.

Toxicologist Gary Shigenaka of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also discusses the impact of different kinds of oil spills on people, animals and ecosystems.
