The city of San Diego reached tentative collective bargaining agreements with all six of its employee unions, including one in which an impasse hearing had been scheduled for today.
With the agreement reached with the Deputy City Attorneys Association, an impasse hearing before the City Council to iron out the disputed terms was canceled, according to the City Clerk's office.
The city and DCAA had been split on half the 10 issues being negotiated, according to city documents. The union wanted a contract longer than one year, automatic pay increases for certain employees and easier progression by workers through job classifications.
Negotiators ended up settling those issues, however.
City spokesman Darren Pudgil said all six unions have reached tentative deals, which will need ratification by employees and the City Council.
