Westbound state Route 52 in the Kearny Mesa area will be closed Wednesday night and Thursday night so Caltrans crews can fill dips in the roadway.
The closure between Interstate 15 and Convoy Street will extend from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday and again from 10 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday, according to Caltrans. The connector ramps from state Route 163 and Interstate 15 will be closed during the same hours, as will the onramp from Kearny Villa Road.
Motorists on westbound SR-52 and southbound SR-163 will head south on SR- 163, west on Interstate 8, then north on Interstate 5 to get back to the 52. Those headed north on SR-163 can take northbound Interstate 805 to SR-52.
Northbound drivers on Interstate 15 will exit and head west on Balboa Avenue, then head north on Interstate 805 to westbound SR-52. Southbound traffic on Interstate 15 will be diverted onto westbound Interstate 8, and will then take northbound Interstate 805 to access westbound SR-52, according to state transit officials.
