A section of the bluffs in Del Mar collapsed onto the beach Wednesday, but while witnesses at first thought people may have been caught under the rubble, no one was found, a fire dispatcher said.
The collapse was reported shortly after 8:15 a.m. at the foot of 10th Street, North County dispatch said.
The dispatcher said after witnesses were interviewed, it was determined that no one was trapped.
Dogs searched the area just in case and "didn't hit on anything," the dispatcher said.
