A series of public workshops are being held on a proposed 11-mile extension of the San Diego Trolley into the University City neighborhood.
The "Mid-Coast Corridor" extension would run north from Old Town to UC San Diego and end at Westfield UTC.
SANDAG project director John Haggerty said the agency want the public's input on station design.
"We're really soliciting people's input on the various design elements of the station: the shelters, the pavement, the colors, the rest of it," Haggerty said.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2016 and the expansion should be completed by 2019.
The next public forum is Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Cadman Elementary School auditorium.
