You’ll learn professional florist approaches to mechanics, structure, flower care, and design decision-making, along with practical considerations like handling, transport, and longevity. This series is designed to support both arranging hobbyists and working florists looking to expand their technical skills and confidence. This Month’s Focus: Flower Crowns In this workshop, we’ll focus on designing a collection of wearable floral pieces, including a corsage, boutonnière, pocket boutonnière, and hair comb. This collaborative workshop begins with hand-tied flower arranging, where you’ll learn how to create a beautifully wrapped floral bundle using fresh seasonal blooms. With guidance from one of Native Poppy’s professional florists, you’ll explore balance, color pairing, and foundational techniques. The workshop continues with floral sourdough scoring led by Katrina of The Sourdough Mama. Using a prepared sourdough loaf, you’ll translate floral forms and patterns into a scored design before taking your loaf home to bake and enjoy—no baking experience is required.   • Alex G, stage alias of Alex Giannascoli, is a prolific singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who built his reputation combining strong melodic sensibilities with a ragged, impulsive-sounding performance style. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of his generation, the release of Alex G’s ninth studio album in 2022, "God Save the Animals," was met with critical acclaim across the board, hailed as “a tour de force” (Rolling Stone) and “his most thrilling and playful record yet” (Vanity Fair).
