The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search of the ocean near San Clemente Island for a downed plane with three people aboard, authorities announced Thursday.

Officials around San Diego County are preparing for an expected influx of asylum seekers.

A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service for San Diego County's coastal areas until 10 a.m. Friday.
